Domestic Disturbance

In the Sunday newspaper,  I read  a story as shocking as it was unbelievable. A man murdered his wife   for the stupidest reason ever.

reason for his action: she prepared him a local delicacy, when he wanted rice and stew.
mode of action: he went into his room, got out his rifle and shot her point blank despite pleas for her live.

After I read the story, I felt pity for this woman and her six children. but I cant help but wonder. this man had a history of abuse, insensitivity and Violence. why did she stay? for the sake of her children or for the love she felt for her man? what happens now she is dead? is life gonna be better?

Long-term

I searched out the word Long-Term on Thesaurus and it came back as Lasting, Long-standing, continuous, durable. so when something is Long-term it probably doesn't have an end or it will last so long the end is not in sight.

My friend's elder sister is in a long-term relationship, what does this mean? that she would be in a relationship all her life, never to get married or never to graduate to the next phase Marriage. considering that she has been in this relationship for quite a while now (16 years), and no other future seems to be in sight, I should say that her relationship is lasting, long-standing and durable. lol

In a movie I saw a longtime ago, it was a Long-term relationship that lasted eight (8) years and when it eventually ended both parties moved on and within six months both the man and lady were both married to other people. all to often we see people who dated for many years and then get married only and start having marital problems immediately. so i wonder, are some couples just meant to be long-term relationship couples? do they know from the start of the relationship that it would never amount to anything but long-term? if No at what point do you know that a relationship is just destined to be called long-term and not married. 

Maybe I am old school but ave always believed every girl is Cinderella and when she finds her prince, they get married not get into a long-term relationship. the distressing fact about Long-term relationship is that ladies suffer most from the breakup. in most parts of the country, a woman is considered an old maid if she is not married at a certain age, so by virtue of being past this age, her appeal is reduced and we all know the men of our time with being very persnickety.

My friend tells me that sometimes long-term relationships could results from both parties not being ready or the time not being right. REALLY! 16 years and the time aint right to step up? 

I speak for myself when I say Five (5) years with out a ring is a deal breaker for me.

The Issue of Shoes

you know how annoying it is to see people wear same shirt as you are on the streets <freaking annoying> well same thing happens with the shoes and i absolutely refuse to match shoes, I mean a girl is got to draw the line some where.

In The Closet? Yes

So am about to go visit my friend and am faced with the usual dilemma of finding what to wear. I love fashion but I swear it gets on my nerves sometimes, first you have to decide on style, then color scheme, length and fit arrrrh…..

The arrangement of my fashion pieces didn’t make it easier to find what I needed, so I had to disperse all the cloths in the front row to get to the cloths in the back row only to realize what I was looking for is in the mid section. <Frustrating>

 I soon realize that it’s not fashion but my closet. Does Kimora lee suffer same problems picking out cloths for the day? Nope or maybe,

This is my diary which hopefully my future “someone” is reading, so I am putting up pictures of closets that would officially take my breathe away and you know finding stuff easy

There are four divisions of  people who live on earth.

• The Blessings: In this category we would see people like Mother Teresa of Calcutta, Nelson Mandela, Abraham, Missionaries and so many others. these are people whose actions have positively impacted so many lives and changed things for the better.  Noteworthy: the greatest of people did not wait till opportunity or luck presented itself to influence the world, neither did they wait for conditions to be perfect, when everything is perfect what need would there be  for a change, the time to act is now.

Growing Pains

I vividly remember when I was younger and I could not get older fast enough, grown ups were so cool to me  going to parties, wearing cool cloths and  playing Boys II Men from a Walkman. little did i know all those were cover up. cos in reality growing up sulks sometimes  if you dnt believe me, then read this

•Friends start moving away...
- Either to college
- Or to go live abroad 
-Or go live with a spouse (Yuck!)

•Increased need to wear high heels: Okay this one is fun, when walking on tarred roads >Wink<

•Time to start getting involved in relationships only to break people’s hearts or have yours broken….we should just go back to the days when parents arranged marriages for us even before we reached puberty; as far as am concerned it worked for all generations who practiced it. Ofcos ur r free to think of my opinion as shallow.
